EXAMPLE OUTPUT · REVIEW PROJECT SCOPE BEFORE USE
Example 60 × 100 ft lot. Dimensions below describe this example geometry, not legal boundaries or required setbacks. The drawing uses the stated coordinates and a graphic scale. On a print or resized screen, use the labeled dimensions and scale bar; do not assume a fixed print ratio.

| Element | Sample coordinates in feet | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Boundary | (0,0) to (60,100) | Origin: front-left corner; north toward front |
| Existing house | x 10–46; y 24–64 | 36 × 40 ft footprint |
| Deck | x 10–26; y 64–76 | 16 × 12 ft = 192 SF |
| Stair + landing outline | x 26–30; y 68–76 | 4 × 8 ft schematic projection |
| Left / rear offsets | Deck left x=10; rear y=76 | 10 ft left; 24 ft rear |
| Boundary source | Lot dimensions supplied with the project | Replace with current survey/plat |
What to supply
A survey or recorded plat with readable dimensions, the project sketch, existing structures, stair/landing extent and your permit office checklist. Ask the owner for the survey; a GIS screenshot or address does not establish surveyed boundaries. If the base is missing, resolve it before drawing.
What to check
The sheet labels supplied offsets. It does not look up or verify local setback rules. Obtain the applicable requirements from the reviewing jurisdiction and check all projections, easements and coverage definitions. No Raleigh, Wake County or other local acceptance is claimed.
Separate documents
Footing, ledger, beam, guard and structural drawings are separate. This is a placement example, not a construction package or permit submission. For an ADU, coordinate architectural, utility and access sheets separately. Delivery time and permit-correction terms require an explicit project agreement.
